About the position

The Software QA Engineer position at Apple focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of health software applications. This role involves working closely with engineers, designers, and medical experts to refine features and maintain a solid technical foundation for future developments. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, creative, and adept at navigating change and ambiguity while contributing to a customer-focused health software ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Functional testing of Health Software features on iOS and watchOS platforms, sometimes across concurrent release vectors
• Execution of automated test scripts and analysis of their results alongside focused, creative manual testing
• Design and implementation of test plans and test cases
• Risk analysis, cross-functional testing coordination, and integration testing across the system
• Maintain a qualitative, high level understanding of area of responsibility
• Investigation and debugging on Unix based systems to triage difficult problems and work towards resolutions

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience working in Software Quality Assurance on iOS or similar
• Proven experience creating test plans for new products and features
