About the position

The Health Solutions Large Market Account Executive at Aon is a hybrid role responsible for leading client relationships in the Health and Benefits sector. This position involves developing benefits strategies, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing a team to ensure effective delivery of benefits consulting services to large market clients. The role requires frequent interaction with clients' HR, Benefits, and Finance executives, making it crucial for the executive to possess strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop employee benefits strategies and lead sophisticated benefits consulting projects.
  • Manage vendors and develop client reports.
  • Lead external meetings and coordinate internal resources.
  • Maintain and grow long-term client relationships through excellent service.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the Health and Benefits marketplace.
  • Participate in internal projects to advance Aon's Health and Benefits practice.
  • Possess expertise in benefit plan design, rate analysis, and insurance carrier negotiations.
  • Exhibit leadership in anticipating client needs and developing alternative solutions.
  • Form effective teams and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Lead vendor negotiations and act as a strategic resource for consultants.

Requirements

  • Ten or more years of Health and Benefits background.
  • Five plus years of benefits consulting/brokerage experience.
  • Client-facing experience at a consulting company, insurance company, or brokerage.
  • Complex project management experience.
  • Broad business knowledge and perspective.
  • Team building skills and business development experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
  • Life/Accident/Health insurance license (or ability to learn after hire).
