About the position

The Health Services Research Analyst at Vanderbilt University Medical Center plays a crucial role in coordinating research projects within health services research, public health, epidemiology, and related fields. This position involves utilizing intermediate-level research skills for data management, report preparation, and project budget and schedule management, contributing to the advancement of health and wellness through research and education.

Responsibilities

  • Provides program management for project activities and performs tasks related to the execution and operations of projects.
  • Fosters collaboration between team members, both internal and external to the project team, and maintains communication across project teams.
  • Uses quantitative and qualitative research skills to participate in the design, coordination, and conduct of research projects.
  • Executes job responsibilities with an understanding of how output affects other areas related to the job area/team.

Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant work experience in health services research or related fields.
  • Intermediate knowledge of study design and conduct, applying qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Familiarity with research administration and compliance processes in sponsored research projects.
  • Intermediate data management skills, including interpreting and analyzing reports and metrics.
  • Intermediate data analysis skills to analyze data accurately.
  • Effective presentation skills to prepare and deliver presentations to various audiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in public health or epidemiology research.
  • Knowledge of health policy and its implications on research.
