About the position

The Health System Director of Pharmacy at CPS Solutions, LLC is responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations at Great Falls Clinic Hospital. This includes planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising pharmacy activities in accordance with hospital policies and state and federal regulations. The role involves recommending innovations, ensuring compliance with legal and accreditation standards, and enhancing financial performance while providing optimal pharmacy services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities.
• Recommend innovations in pharmacy practice to hospital administration.
• Assist with the security of pharmacies and controlled substances.
• Assist in recruitment and hiring of pharmacy staff.
• Ensure compliance with legal, accreditation, and certification requirements.
• Enhance financial performance of the pharmacy services.

Requirements

• Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
• Current Montana Pharmacist license in good standing.
• 3+ years of recent Pharmacy Director experience in a complex health system.
• At least 5 years of experience as a pharmacist in an acute care hospital setting.
• Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy services.
• Proficient in the use and application of new medications and technology.
• Leadership, administrative, human resource, and managerial skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively participate on interdisciplinary teams and committees.
• Business acumen including profit/loss understanding, contract negotiations, and GPO function.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of pathophysiology, interpretation of diagnostic criteria, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics.
• Problem solving and analytical thinking ability.
