About the position

The Health System Executive at Thermo Fisher Scientific plays a crucial role in retaining existing revenue and identifying new business opportunities within assigned accounts. This position is responsible for representing the Healthcare Market Division's portfolio, crafting and mobilizing business strategies to expand relationships with national accounts. The role requires continuous networking with key influencers and executives to uncover new opportunities, while also navigating the complexities of a large corporation to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead prime contract and/or high share of wallet existing business and customer relationships while building a new business pipeline.
  • Continuous prospecting for new opportunities across large IDN's and Regional Reference Labs.
  • Drive customer centric strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and advocacy for business expansion.
  • Lead case development and justification to prioritize business opportunities based on profitability and strategic fit.
  • Coordinate activities across divisional sales and other functional teams to ensure alignment to goals.
  • Prepare and deliver commercial, technical, operational and financial presentations with business colleagues.
  • Supervise and communicate industry trends relevant to strategic marketing and emerging business opportunities.
  • Engage and support initiatives that increase customer delight and drive greater efficiency.
  • Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree required, preferably in Science, Engineering or Business; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of relevant commercial experience with a minimum of 3 years in a management or senior level Account Management, Strategic Marketing or Corporate accounts role.
  • Record of success engaging and selling at Executive/C-Suite level within corporate accounts.
  • Expertise with large, multifaceted Health Systems and National Accounts.
  • Trained in large account strategy and planning.
  • Sound financial and industry competence to understand key elements of business attractiveness.
  • Ability to develop contracting strategy and lead negotiations of multiyear agreements with collaborators.
  • Industry relevant marketing savvy to build clear customer value propositions and messaging.
  • Experience working with non-commercial functions including finance, supply chain, quality/regulatory and services organizations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations.
