The Health System Specialist (PEBLO) position at the Defense Health Agency involves providing counseling and administrative support related to the Army Physical Disability Evaluation System (APDES). This position is located at the Ireland Army Health Clinic in Edinburgh, Indiana, and requires occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Counsel military personnel, retirees, and families regarding the Army Physical Disability Evaluation System (APDES).
• Coordinate evaluation appointments for personnel undergoing medical evaluations.
• Assist in preparing appeals and rebuttals related to medical evaluations.
• Provide information on rights and benefits for personnel with physical disabilities.
• Refer personnel to appropriate agencies for additional counseling and guidance on benefits.
• Train installation leadership on issues relevant to the APDES.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience advising personnel on benefits processes, scheduling medical evaluation appointments, and assisting throughout the medical evaluation process.
• Master's or equivalent graduate degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field, or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a relevant field.
• Combination of education and experience that meets the qualification requirements.
