The Health Technician (Chiropractic) position at US Military Treatment Facilities under DHA involves assisting chiropractors in patient care and clinic administration. The role includes initiating patient intake, documenting treatments, and managing patient records, while also ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This position is crucial for maintaining the operational efficiency of the chiropractic clinic and providing quality care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Initiate intake of new patients by taking and recording vital signs.
• Assemble new patient records with all appropriate forms.
• Assist patients in completing questionnaires and other documentation.
• Document treatments in the patient record.
• Keep the chiropractor informed of patient progress and any changes in health status.
• Assist with clinic administrative activities as assigned by the chiropractor.
• Receive and resolve customer complaints.
• Prepare requests for Capital Expense Equipment Program (CEEP) and Medical Care Support Equipment (MEDCASE) requisitions for new and replacement chiropractic equipment.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience in a healthcare setting, including preparing treatment rooms and scheduling patients.
• Bachelor's degree with a major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects directly related to the position.
• Combination of education and experience that meets the qualification requirements.
