About the position

The Health Technician (Telehealth Clinical) - Advanced provides high-level support, training, and advanced management of telehealth operations at clinical care delivery sites. This role is essential for the day-to-day operation of telehealth services, ensuring effective communication and technology use between remote sites and the assigned location. The technician will also participate in programmatic development and support of the facility-wide telehealth program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, install, maintain, and manage the inventory of telehealth technologies including hardware and software.
• Provide standardized competency-based training and guidance on the use of advanced telehealth technologies to patients, staff, and providers.
• Facilitate interactive simulations for clinical staff participating in telehealth programs.
• Participate in performance improvement activities aimed at improving the efficiency of patient telehealth processes.
• Develop reporting procedures, sampling techniques, and measurements to identify and analyze weaknesses in telehealth processes.
• Coordinate clinic setup and monitor workload capture and issues for assigned patient and provider clinics.

Requirements

• One year of experience in a health care field demonstrating the ability to perform the work or understanding of the work, such as a medical or clinical assistant or health technician.
• Four academic years above high school leading to a bachelor's degree with courses related to the occupation, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
