The Health Unit Coordinator in Critical Care at Memorial Healthcare System is responsible for performing administrative and clerical duties to support the nursing team in a critical care environment. Responsibilities
- Assists with processing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Assembles and maintains patient records and charts.
- Performs clerical tasks such as copying, faxing, filing, and ordering supplies.
- Greets patients and visitors in a professional manner.
- Monitors, answers, screens, and routes all telephone calls, including emergency alerts and overhead announcements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Critical thinking skills and effective communication skills.
