About The Position

The Health & Wellness Coordinator (HWC) at Bickford Senior Living is a nurse leader responsible for supporting clinical operations alongside the Health & Wellness Director. This role emphasizes the integration of assisted living principles and Bickford's culture into resident care, ensuring compliance with regulations and enhancing resident engagement through effective communication and coordination of healthcare services.

Requirements

  • LPN or RN license.
  • Willingness to take additional training or education as required by specific states.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
  • Competent in organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work with caregivers to ensure the principles of assisted living and Bickford's culture are integrated into all aspects of resident care.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Communicate proactively and effectively with residents and families to enhance their engagement.
  • Ensure residents receive medications and treatments as prescribed by their physician.
  • Coordinate health care services with external care providers and physicians to ensure resident needs are met.
  • Make recommendations to the RNC for quality external care providers in the community.
