About the position

As a Healthcare Administrator at Brookdale Skyline, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day healthcare functions of our continuing care retirement community (CCRC). This facility encompasses four levels of care, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing, all situated on one campus. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is provided to our residents at all times, in compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing long-term care facilities. In this role, you will be tasked with planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the healthcare programs and activities within the community. You will assume administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for these programs, ensuring they meet the needs of our residents. Regular reviews of community policies and procedures will be essential, with a minimum annual review to ensure compliance with regulations such as ADA and air quality standards. You will represent the community in dealings with outside agencies, including governmental bodies and third-party payers, and will conduct routine inspections to ensure that established policies and procedures are being followed. Your ability to make written and oral reports and recommendations to the Executive Director will be crucial in maintaining operational excellence. Additionally, you will assist in identifying and evaluating job-related functions to ensure safety and compliance, develop corrective action plans for deficiencies noted during inspections, and serve on various facility committees. Your leadership will extend to delegating authority to staff, consulting with department directors to improve services, and ensuring that training programs are effectively conducted. You will also be responsible for reviewing financial statements and addressing resident complaints, ensuring that all policies regarding resident discharges and changes are adhered to.
