About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Healthcare Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing a medical center, extensive knowledge in Medicare risk, and experience with healthcare rules and regulations in Florida. This role requires effective leadership skills and the ability to manage various administrative functions while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate daily operations of the healthcare facility, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
  • Supervise staff, including medical administrative support and human resources personnel, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with JCAHO standards and other regulatory requirements to maintain accreditation.
  • Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and staff.
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing, and training of personnel, including nurses and support staff.
  • Implement policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and improve patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records using software such as Eaglesoft for patient management and billing processes.
  • Collaborate with veterinary professionals when applicable to ensure comprehensive care in multi-disciplinary settings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in healthcare administration or a related field, preferably in an acute care environment.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations is essential.
  • Experience supervising teams and managing human resources functions within a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Eaglesoft or similar healthcare management software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
