About the position

The Healthcare Benefits Coordinator is responsible for outreach and enrollment of beneficiaries eligible for various Alternate Benefits, including Medicaid, Medicare, and other health insurance options. This role focuses on optimizing customer service to enhance the patient experience during the application process and is part of a team dedicated to improving healthcare access through these benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach to the beneficiary population to inform them about Alternate Benefits.
  • Assist beneficiaries in the enrollment process for Medicaid, Medicare, and other health insurance options.
  • Optimize customer service to ensure a positive patient experience during the application process.
  • Collaborate with a team to expand healthcare access through Alternate Benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Social Work, Medical or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible and relevant work experience.
  • At least two (2) years of experience working with electronic health record data systems.
