About the position

The Healthcare Benefits Coordinator for the Tribal Health Department is responsible for managing and coordinating healthcare benefits for tribal members. This role involves working with electronic health record data systems and ensuring compliance with various training and certification requirements. The position aims to enhance access to healthcare services and support the health needs of the community.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate healthcare benefits for tribal members.
• Work with electronic health record data systems to ensure accurate data management.
• Become a Certified Application Counselor for the Federally Facilitated Marketplace within the first 90 days of hire.
• Complete State Health Insurance Assistance Program training and Tribal Veteran Representative training within the first year of hire.
• Maintain required certifications annually.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Social Work, Medical or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible and relevant work experience, including two years of experience with electronic health record data systems.
• Possess a valid driver's license.

Benefits

• Salary range of $17.17 to $19.73 per hour.
