About the position

The Healthcare BI Developer role at Genesis10 involves collaborating with the BI team to enhance healthcare data through the development and deployment of reporting models. This position focuses on ensuring data reliability and accuracy while maintaining comprehensive documentation and supporting self-service BI initiatives. The role is designed for individuals with a strong background in Big Data solutions, particularly in healthcare contexts, and requires proficiency in Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the BI team to build and deploy healthcare data enrichments.
• Design and develop high-performance reporting models using dbt for deployment in Power BI.
• Support monthly and quarterly production activities to ensure data reliability and accuracy.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data definitions, transformations, and processes to uphold data governance and security standards.
• Identify and resolve non-standard requests and problems related to data and reporting.
• Support and maintain the self-service BI data warehouse, ensuring user accessibility and performance.
• Work with business owners to develop new enrichments and design/implement new reporting models to meet evolving business needs.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing Big Data solutions using Spark and Python.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• 4+ years of experience working with medical and RX claims, eligibility tables, and provider data.
• Experience designing and deploying reporting data models.
• Familiarity with CICD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, or Maven.

Nice-to-haves

• Undergraduate degree in a STEM field.
• Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
• Snowflake experience.
• Power BI development experience.
• Experience using dbt for building data models.
• Prior experience working as an actuary or with actuaries.
• Knowledge of healthcare concepts, including benefits, pricing, underwriting, stop-loss reinsurance, and reserves.
