About the position

The Immediate Patient Service Representative role is a full-time position within a healthcare call center environment, focusing on providing exceptional service to patients and medical staff. The representative will handle a variety of calls related to patient inquiries, paging staff, and processing emergency calls, ensuring a seamless communication experience across multiple platforms. This position offers opportunities for advancement and requires availability for weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Answer calls 24x7 for the main published phone numbers for hospitals and over 300 medical practices.
  • Process calls for the Main Listed Number, Paging, Dispatch, and Answering Service.
  • Respond to requests to page staff members and retrieve executed pages.
  • Change the current paging status as requested by the holder of the pager.
  • Respond to requests from staff regarding department on-call schedules and update databases and directories.
  • Maintain the ability to multi-task and toggle between multiple screens seamlessly.
  • Process various Codes / Emergency calls accurately.
  • Respond to all telephone inquiries for patient information, including handling confidential information.

Requirements

  • 2 years of healthcare administration experience or recent call center experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
