About the position

SWA Architects is seeking a full-time, experienced Architectural Healthcare Construction Administration Project Manager to lead and manage complex healthcare construction projects. The role involves overseeing project execution, ensuring compliance with HCAI procedures, and providing creative solutions to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction administration, particularly in healthcare settings, and will be responsible for effective communication with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technically complex healthcare facilities and construction projects.
• Handle HCAI related construction process paperwork, including RFIs, Submittals, and Schedules.
• Perform on-site observations and produce field reports.
• Conduct substantial completion inspections and prepare certificates with lists of deficiencies.
• Communicate effectively with project ownership, engineers, specialty consultants, contractors, inspectors, and state/local agency representatives.
• Review and respond to construction submittals and RFIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in construction administration, particularly in healthcare projects.
• Strong understanding of HCAI standards, practices, and procedures.
• Knowledge of California Building, Fire, and Accessibility Codes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; AutoCAD proficiency desirable, Revit proficiency a bonus.
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
