The Data Architect in Healthcare at TEKsystems is a pivotal role responsible for maintaining a comprehensive view and roadmap of interconnected technologies across the organization. This position requires regular communication with various functional groups and business units, providing cross-functional support for IS teams, including data center environments, IT networks, unified communications, desktop support, and cloud enablement teams. The Data Architect will influence the information strategy by partnering with business unit leadership to rationalize the information value chain, thereby maximizing the value of information assets through their creation, access, and use. In this role, the Data Architect will foster value creation using the organization's data assets and the external data ecosystem. This includes aiding value creation through data exploitation, envisioning data-enabled strategies, and enabling business outcomes through analytics, data governance, and enterprise information policy. The architect will assess the benefits and risks of information using tools like business capability models to visualize what information is most critical to the organization based on its defined business strategy. The Data Architect will also enhance decision-making by providing a future-state view of the information landscape, unencumbered by specific data implementation details. They will enable effective data and analytics governance by suggesting who can take what actions with what information and under what circumstances. Additionally, the architect will conduct business information modeling, manage risk by defining data classifications, and ensure that the architecture aligns with enterprise strategies and business outcomes. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Data Architect will work closely with data and analytics leaders, data science specialists, information management staff, and business domain stakeholders. They will provide consulting support within projects to ensure architectural alignment and establish relationships with business partners and the IT organization to meet user needs and influence strategic initiatives. Keeping up to date with technology trends is essential to enable evolving business and operational models, and the architect will also identify governance activities required for regulatory compliance and architecture assurance.
