About the position

The Healthcare Data Architect role is focused on designing and managing data architecture within the healthcare sector. This position requires extensive experience in data profiling, SQL, and database design principles, particularly in the context of healthcare data management. The role involves working with data quality rules, ETL processes, and legacy system migrations, ensuring the integrity and security of healthcare data.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage data architecture for healthcare applications.
• Perform data profiling and ensure data quality through validation and business rule comparison.
• Write SQL procedures, functions, and views to support data analysis.
• Manage Postgres databases, including JSON data management.
• Develop and implement ETL processes and source to target mappings.
• Participate in legacy system migration and data integration projects.
• Ensure compliance with data security and management standards.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in data architecture and management.
• Strong experience with SQL analytic functions and writing SQL procedures, functions, and views.
• Hands-on experience with Postgres and knowledge of JSON management.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.
• Familiarity with ETL concepts and source to target mappings.
• Experience in data quality rules and validations.
• Knowledge of data security and data management practices.
• Experience in healthcare data management, preferably in payer or provider settings.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
• Experience in the provider/claims space.
