About the position

Morrison-Maierle is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a strong passion for the Healthcare Industry to join our team in Bend, Oregon, and various locations across Montana and Washington. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of healthcare projects, from small clinics to large ambulatory care and surgical centers. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing comprehensive power plans, which include receptacle and HVAC power connections, main electrical equipment room layouts, one-line diagrams, and emergency generator and uninterruptible power systems. You will also create panel and equipment schedules, as well as lighting plans that encompass light fixture layouts, lighting calculations, photometric lighting analysis, and lighting controls. In addition to design responsibilities, you will manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring that all aspects of the projects are executed efficiently and effectively. You will play a key role in business development pursuits, leading efforts to secure new projects and expand our client base. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to lead, manage, and mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development within the firm. Responsibilities

  • Design power plans including receptacle and HVAC power connections, main electrical equipment room layouts, one-line diagrams, emergency generator and uninterruptible power systems.
  • Create panel and equipment schedules for electrical systems.
  • Design lighting plans including light fixture layouts, lighting calculations, photometric lighting analysis, and lighting controls.
  • Develop systems plans for fire alarm, voice/data, security, paging, and public-address systems.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Lead business development pursuits to secure new projects.
  • Mentor and manage junior engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Professional Engineering License is required.
  • Strong understanding of NFPA 99, NFPA 70, and FGI Guidelines as they apply to healthcare facilities.
  • Experience with Revit/BIM is a plus.
  • LEED certification is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

  • Experience in healthcare project management.

  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations specific to healthcare facilities.
