About the position

The Enterprise Lean Portfolio Manager at Mercy plays a crucial role in coordinating strategies that drive the success of the Performance Divisions and the organization as a whole. This position is designed for individuals who can work remotely and is integral to the development and execution of clear roadmaps for products and platforms that align with the division's goals and key initiatives. The Enterprise Lean Portfolio Manager will engage with divisional partners to prioritize and execute initiatives effectively, ensuring that all efforts are aligned with the overarching objectives of Mercy. In this role, the individual will collaborate closely with key leaders to provide updates on the status of various initiatives, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization. The Enterprise Lean Portfolio Manager will also work with capability teams to address capacity and timing of delivery, while adhering to security and architectural guidelines. This position requires a strong understanding of agile principles and the ability to lead transformation strategies within a healthcare environment, particularly in hospital or clinical settings. Candidates for this position should possess a blend of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills, as they will be responsible for coaching and mentoring team members, managing communications, resolving conflicts, and presenting information to executives. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can operate independently while utilizing available resources effectively. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate strategy with Performance Divisions to drive organizational success.
  • Make decisions on prioritization and execution of initiatives.
  • Create clear roadmaps of products and platforms reflecting division goals and objectives.
  • Engage with key leaders on the status of initiatives.
  • Cooperate with capability teams to ensure capacity and timing of delivery are addressed.
  • Ensure alignment to security and architecture guidance and policies.

Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant experience in product management and/or portfolio management leveraging agile principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Recognized SAFe Agilist and/or SAFe Lean Portfolio Manager certification.
  • Project management certification is ideal.
  • 5 years of relevant healthcare experience in hospital, clinical, or patient care environments.
  • Relevant experience in healthcare technology and implementation.
  • Demonstrated mastery of coaching and mentoring, communication management, conflict resolution, executive presentation, and critical thinking.
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate work independently and operate as a self-starter.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Health Care/Administration or other relevant advanced degrees.
