As a Data Visualization Engineer at Mercy, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that drive decision-making across the organization. Your expertise in data visualization, engineering, and analytics will be essential in creating compelling visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Power Platform, Power Automate, and Office 365. These visualizations will empower stakeholders to understand financial trends, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of visualizations, from concept to implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine user interfaces and ensure data accuracy. Your contributions will also focus on standardizing data definitions, processes, and user interfaces to enhance consistency and usability across the organization. Working closely with Ministry financial data engineers, you will design and optimize data pipelines, gathering initial datasets, identifying relevant data sources, and documenting visualization requirements. Your work will primarily revolve around financial statistics, healthcare, and labor, partnering with finance business analysts to extract meaningful insights from data. You will thrive in a collaborative environment, actively seeking input from colleagues and preferring to engage directly rather than micromanage. Additionally, you will analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems, providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet user requirements. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience, along with five years of relevant technical or business work experience. Preferred qualifications include a relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Graphic Design, Healthcare, or a related field, as well as proficiency in data modeling, industry-standard BI tools, and experience with data analysis. Certifications in Microsoft, Business Intelligence (BI), and/or Databricks are also considered advantageous.
