The Health and Welfare Council of Long Island (HWCLI) is seeking a Healthcare Facilitated Enroller who is bilingual in Spanish to join our dedicated team. This position is crucial in supporting our mission to assist the Aged, Blind, and Disabled (ABD) populations in understanding their health insurance options and identifying the best plans suited for their needs. As a Healthcare Facilitated Enroller, you will play a vital role in educating potential clients about available medical assistance programs, including Medicaid and the Medicare Savings Program (MSP). Your efforts will directly impact the lives of vulnerable individuals and families in our community, ensuring they have access to the healthcare services they require. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding enrollees through the Medicaid and MSP application processes. This includes collecting necessary documentation, entering data accurately, and submitting applications to the local Department of Social Services (DSS) in Nassau and Suffolk County. You will maintain confidentiality and security of all records, complete required training, and participate in ongoing meetings and webinars to stay updated on program information and technical support. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Healthcare Access team to enhance client engagement, troubleshoot application issues, and advocate for enrollees. Community outreach is a significant aspect of this position, as you will engage with potential clients and community partners, attending various outreach events across Long Island. This role requires travel throughout the region to effectively reach and assist those in need.
