About the position

The Asset Manager II at Bernhard LLC is responsible for overseeing energy usage and strategies for multiple facilities, ensuring optimal operation and maintenance of the Central Energy Plant (CEP). This role involves mentoring staff, managing subcontractors, and implementing best practices in energy management. The position emphasizes continuous learning and development within a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Review energy usage daily and provide guidance on best practices and operational modifications.
• Mentor the owner on energy strategies.
• Manage the Central Energy Plant Operation and Maintenance, including subcontractors and internal service providers.
• Oversee Maintenance Reserve Accounts for the CEP.
• Ensure efficient operation of the plant with the operators.
• Conduct ongoing training for Plant Operators.
• Develop and maintain the Plant Operating Manual.
• Assist the Bernhard EPC team with engineering, procurement, and construction coordination with OMC operations.
• Coordinate on-site troubleshooting and diagnostics with remote support services.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in mechanical construction with a large mechanical subcontractor or MEP design consultant, or management experience in a central plant or facility.
• Well versed in building codes and associated standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree (ABET Accredited Program).
• FE preferred.
