About the position

As a Healthcare Financial/Actuarial Associate Director, you will play a pivotal role in the Financial Actuarial & Analytics (FAA) Community of Expertise. This position involves leading financial and actuarial engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, enhancing employer health and group benefit programs, and collaborating with Client Service colleagues to communicate strategies that drive client action and improve plan performance. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects alongside industry leaders, while also developing relationships with clients and vendors to strengthen the company's brand.

Responsibilities

  • Lead clients' financial/actuarial engagements for a portfolio of clients.
  • Contribute to complex client projects across various employer health and group benefit programs.
  • Communicate FAA concepts, strategies, and results to drive client action and improve plan performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers' and vendors' primary contacts.
  • Support new business, expansion, and cross-selling activities.
  • Guide teams on cost avoidance, risk, and funding strategies based on client needs.
  • Review technical and consulting accuracy on client projects, including pricing and employee contributions strategies.
  • Partner with Global Delivery Centers and Client Service teams for superior project management.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in professional services, ideally in benefit consulting or health underwriting/actuarial functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of health and welfare products and services.
  • Experience using big data analytic techniques.
  • Expert knowledge of cost avoidance, risk, and funding strategies.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple clients/projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining.

Nice-to-haves

  • Progress towards completion of health actuarial designation or CEBS designation.
