About the position

As a Healthcare Financial/Actuarial Associate Director, you will play a pivotal role in the Financial Actuarial & Analytics (FAA) Community of Expertise. This position involves leading financial and actuarial engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, significantly contributing to complex client projects across various employer health and group benefit programs. You will collaborate with Client Service colleagues to communicate FAA concepts and strategies that drive client action and enhance plan performance, while also having the opportunity to work on innovative projects alongside industry leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead clients' financial/actuarial engagements for a portfolio of clients.
  • Contribute to complex client projects across employer health and group benefit programs.
  • Communicate FAA concepts, strategies, and results to drive client action.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers' and vendors' primary contacts.
  • Support new business, expansion, and cross-selling activities.
  • Guide teams on cost avoidance, risk, and funding strategies based on client needs.
  • Review technical and consulting accuracy on client projects.
  • Partner with Global Delivery Centers and Client Service teams for project management.

Requirements

  • 8+ years' experience in professional services, ideally in benefit consulting or health underwriting/actuarial functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of health and welfare products and services.
  • Experience using big data analytic techniques.
  • Expert knowledge of cost avoidance, risk, and funding strategies.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple clients/projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to guide junior colleagues and provide feedback.
  • State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining.

Nice-to-haves
