Responsibilities

  • Perform accounting functions, including monthly and year-end closing activities and preparation of financial statements.
  • Assist in payroll and accounts payable processes.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and ongoing monitoring.
  • Provide information and education to the management team for overseeing financial operations.
  • Collect information for annual tax, financial audit, and Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
  • Prepare and organize financial and accounting transactions, including financial statements.
  • Provide support to Directors regarding budgets and financial reports.
  • Meet reporting deadlines.
  • Support month- and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare, verify, allocate, and post journal entries.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare requested reports.
  • Perform data analysis.
  • Effectively multi-task and switch between tasks as required.
  • Adapt to different financial and reporting software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related Healthcare field with at least three (3) years of general experience in the financial/accounting field.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a related Healthcare field with at least two (2) years of general experience in the Patient Accounting field.
  • Skills in active listening, organizational capabilities, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, analytical thinking, time management, and proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with staff members.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $47,000 to $70,000 depending on experience.
