About the position

The Director of the Healthcare Industry Practice at Simon-Kucher will play a crucial role in leading and selling growth consulting projects, developing the team, and driving value-based outcomes. This position requires cultivating trusted client relationships, delivering innovative solutions, and building industry expertise to address complex strategy engagements in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and sell growth consulting projects within the Healthcare Practice.
  • Cultivate trusted client relationships and contribute to sourcing project opportunities.
  • Deliver solutions through growth consulting content knowledge and client relationship-building skills.
  • Identify client pain points and develop custom solutions for complex strategy engagements.
  • Lead the delivery of complex growth consulting engagements and business development efforts.
  • Guide and coach a talented team of junior consultants to develop actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver new thought leadership in collaboration with peers and seniors in the Healthcare practice.
  • Stay updated on current business and industry trends relevant to clients' businesses.
  • Play an integral role in the recruitment and integration of new Healthcare consultants.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a professional services environment.
  • Deep relevant functional experience in Pricing and Growth Strategy Consulting in Healthcare or adjacent business lines.
  • An undergraduate degree is required; MS, MA, MBA, or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill insights from large data sets.
  • Effective presentation and communication abilities to present findings to a senior audience.
  • Demonstrated record of solving complex problems and managing multiple engagements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare consulting or related fields.
  • Familiarity with behavioral economics and its application in consulting.
