About the position

This dynamic and rapidly growing Professional Employer Organization (PEO) is committed to helping small and medium-sized businesses streamline their HR, benefits, and compliance needs. By handling these essential tasks, the company allows its clients to focus on what they do best—running their core operations. We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Inside/Outside Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be tasked with generating new business through a combination of in-person cold calls to brokers, insurance agents, accountants, and other professionals, as well as direct outreach to small businesses. You will also be responsible for making outbound phone calls to the same target audience to foster relationships, obtain referrals, and promote our PEO services. Existing connections in the insurance or accounting industries would be a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face cold calls to brokers, insurance agents, accountants, and other professionals to introduce our PEO services.
  • Visit small businesses to present tailored solutions, identify their HR needs, and show how our services can address their specific challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential referral partners within the professional community.
  • Make proactive phone calls to brokers, insurance agents, accountants, and small business owners to generate leads, secure referrals, and schedule sales appointments.
  • Effectively present and sell our PEO services over the phone, offering customized solutions to meet client needs.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with industry professionals and small business owners to ensure a steady pipeline of leads and referrals.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking meetings, and conferences to expand your professional network and promote our services.
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop and execute strategies aimed at achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Keep detailed records of all sales activities, including calls, meetings, and follow-up tasks, using CRM software.
  • Regularly report on sales progress, challenges, and areas for improvement to management.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in a sales role, preferably within the PEO, insurance, or accounting industries.
  • A solid understanding of the PEO industry and the ability to clearly communicate the benefits of HR, payroll, and compliance services to prospective clients.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet sales goals.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for in-person sales visits.

Nice-to-haves

  • Pre-established relationships within the insurance or accounting sectors.
  • Experience in B2B sales, particularly in professional services.
