About the position

The Healthcare IT Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing the administration of various portfolios, including Finance, HR, Marketing, and Data Governance/AI, within a healthcare provider environment. This role requires extensive project management experience, particularly in leading IT projects, coaching teams, and implementing technology solutions. The position demands strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams and to present to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration of Finance, HR, Marketing, and Data Governance/AI portfolios.
• Lead information technology projects from initiation to closeout.
• Coach, mentor, and provide day-to-day direction to employees.
• Implement technology solutions in a healthcare provider environment.
• Facilitate working sessions with large, cross-functional teams.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Utilize project management tools and techniques effectively.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Over 10 years of total post-collegiate relevant professional experience.
• 6 years of project management experience leading IT projects.
• 5 years of coaching and mentoring experience.
• 2 years of experience implementing technology solutions in healthcare.
• Mastery of project management principles and tools.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Project, Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a centralized PMO environment.
• Strong financial and business acumen.
• Experience in management of data and AI projects.
• Hospital/Healthcare experience preferred.
