About the position

As a Healthcare Market Leader at Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI), you will play a pivotal role in empowering clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions while enhancing public health and improving patient outcomes. This position involves developing and maintaining client relationships, generating business opportunities, and collaborating with the leadership team for strategic planning and market development. You will lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams on significant healthcare projects, ensuring high standards in sustainable design practices and innovative engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain client relationships to generate business opportunities.
• Participate in strategic planning and market development with the San Francisco office leadership team.
• Negotiate and develop consultant/teaming strategies for project assignments.
• Guide the preparation of marketing documents and participate in interview preparations.
• Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams through planning, design, and construction phases of projects.
• Provide conceptual level planning in collaboration with architects and owners.
• Secure new assignments on major healthcare projects.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 10+ years of experience in a consulting environment designing building systems or leading design projects across MEP disciplines.
• Recent project management experience in the healthcare, S&T, or E&U market within the last 5 years.
• Proven ability to manage large and complex projects for sophisticated clients.
• Professional Engineering (PE) registration.
