The .NET Senior Application Developer position at Highmark Inc. is a pivotal role that involves leading the development of complex application solutions as part of a project team or in an application support capacity. In this role, the developer will take a lead position in analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing application enhancements, while also providing essential production support. The developer will work within the full system development life cycle, following Highmark's SDLC standards. Collaboration is key, as the developer will engage with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. The focus will be on delivering innovative solutions to complex business needs. The position requires the developer to provide necessary technical support, including release implementations and on-call support, which may extend to 24/7 availability when required. The developer will actively participate in project teams, taking on various roles such as Developer, Technical Lead, and Project Manager, depending on their level of experience. Effective communication with team members, customers, partners, and management is essential, including conducting technical walkthroughs, reporting project status, enabling vendor solutions, and providing accurate documentation. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
