About the position

As a Facility Administrator with Fresenius Medical Care, you will manage and oversee the daily operations of the dialysis clinic. This role involves collaborating closely with the Medical Director and the Charge Nurse to ensure the provision of quality patient care within the clinic. You will be responsible for the overall management of clinic operations, which includes overseeing costs, processes, staffing, and maintaining quality standards. Your leadership will be crucial in developing and implementing coaching and development plans for all direct reports, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to provide exceptional care to patients. In addition to operational management, you will enter our Clinical Leadership Program, which is designed to foster a culture of continuous learning for our managers. This program will cover essential functions, onboarding, leading your business, and advanced leadership skills, providing you with the tools necessary for career advancement. As a Facility Administrator, you may have the opportunity to progress into a Director of Operations role and eventually into senior leadership positions within the organization. Responsibilities

  • Manage the operations of the clinic, including costs, processes, staffing, and quality standards.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development plans for all direct reports.
  • Partner with internal Human Resources, Quality, and Technical Services departments.
  • Collaborate with the Home Therapies Manager to oversee the facility's Home Therapies Program.
  • Maintain integrity of medical and operations records and comply with all data collections and auditing activities.
  • Manage clinic financials including efficient utilization of supplies or equipment and regular profits and loss review.
  • Responsible for all required network reporting and on-site state or federal surveys.
  • Coordinate inventory/supply management by reviewing monthly inventory count and approving purchase orders for necessary items.
  • Collaborate closely with the Charge RN, the Medical Director, and physicians regarding direct patient care responsibilities.
  • Coordinate all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge of the patient.
  • Monitor patient and family education regarding access care including medical instructions.
  • Act as a resource for the patient and family to address concerns and questions and review patient satisfaction surveys.
  • Participate in the selection and hiring of new team members and ensure completion of new hiring orientation and mandatory trainings.
  • Ensure all patient care employees complete appropriate training courses and that licensures and certifications are current.
  • Provide support for all clinical staff members at regular intervals and encourage professional growth.
  • Complete employee evaluations and establish annual goals.
  • Document any disciplinary actions and confer with the clinic Director of Operations and Human Resources when needed.
  • Manage staff scheduling and payroll.
  • Facilitate the application process for physician privileges and compliance with Fresenius Medical Care Medical Staff By-Laws.
  • Ensure strong physician relationships and regular effective communication.
  • Participate in the Governing Body, an interdisciplinary team that governs policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of business operations experience in a healthcare facility.
