About the position

The Healthcare Organizational Operations Administrator - Recruitment Specialist position at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) is a vital role within the New York State Department of Health's Division of Data Services and Analytics (DDSA). This division is at the forefront of leveraging technology to enhance the data needs of the NYS Medicaid program. The mission of DDSA is to transform how Medicaid data is organized, understood, and utilized, ultimately aiming to improve policy agendas and program effectiveness across the Medicaid enterprise. As a Recruitment Specialist, the individual will be an integral part of the DDSA Division Operations unit, focusing on organizing and facilitating the recruitment of new staff. This role requires a proactive approach to support the Onboarding Coordinator in various recruitment activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, along with experience in establishing standard operating procedures. The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively is essential for success in this position. The role offers comprehensive on-the-job training and peer/supervisory support, ensuring that the candidate can adapt to new tasks and subject areas. A collaborative team environment is emphasized, and the candidate must be willing to adjust to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on project advancement. Key responsibilities include conducting reference checks, assisting with interview scheduling, tracking and updating recruitment trackers, supporting employee logistical needs, and communicating with stakeholders and employment agencies. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • Experience in establishing standard operating procedures is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and time-management skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, and Visio is preferred.
