About the position

The Community Outreach Specialist is an outside healthcare sales representative responsible for generating sales leads of potential Medicare-eligible seniors and managing them through the pipeline to become patients of Sage Health. This role involves nurturing relationships with senior citizens, local community partners, and health plan agents, as well as creating and managing community events to attract seniors and drive sales leads.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and execute a productive monthly and quarterly sales plan to achieve new patient goals.
  • Plan and execute local community events such as health fairs and partnerships with local organizations to reach Medicare-eligible seniors.
  • Generate leads by prospecting and maintaining relationships with community partners and health plan agents.
  • Educate potential patients on services at local events and provide personalized tours of the health center.
  • Deliver high levels of sales and customer service to prospects, patients, and community partners.
  • Nurture ongoing relationships with new patients to ensure satisfaction with services.
  • Attend sales meetings and share sales plans and results.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years outside sales experience is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Insurance brokers with Medicare and Medicare Advantage knowledge are preferred.
  • Experience working with and selling to the senior population is preferred.
  • Consultative selling skills to qualify potential customers and build rapport.
  • Healthcare knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
  • CRM experience is required; Salesforce is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills are required.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid state-issued driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Salesforce is preferred.
  • Knowledge of consultative selling techniques is preferred.
