As a Scheduling-Payroll Manager, you will play a vital role in achieving our business excellence goals. This position involves managing and controlling the nursing center's labor expenditures and processing payroll in accordance with established policies and procedures. In this role, you will serve as the primary contact for all employees regarding scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll matters. You will balance the staffing needs of the nursing center with employee schedule preferences while ensuring that the financial performance of the center is maintained. Utilizing specialized software, you will work to minimize overtime and agency spending, ensuring that nursing hours per patient day (HPPD) and salary expenses remain within budgetary limits. Additionally, you will lead the nursing center's Labor Management Team to proactively manage labor performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), optimizing clinical, financial, and human resource outcomes. It is essential to maintain adequate nursing staff coverage at all times to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary nursing center contact for all employees' needs regarding scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll.
  • Balance nursing center staffing needs with employee schedule preferences and financial performance.
  • Utilize software to minimize overtime and nursing agency spending while ensuring appropriate nursing hours per patient day (HPPD) and salary expenses.
  • Lead the nursing center's Labor Management Team to manage labor performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain nursing center nursing staff coverage at all times.

Requirements

  • Five plus years of previous work experience preferably in healthcare or long-term care with a proven track record in scheduling, timekeeping, or payroll.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
