About the position

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is seeking a Healthcare Program Administrator to oversee the development, planning, coordination, and maintenance of complex healthcare programs and systems. This role emphasizes administration and compliance, ensuring that all operations align with healthcare regulations and standards. The Healthcare Program Administrator may also supervise a small support staff, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Patient Services Administration within the hospital. This recruitment is aimed at filling vacancies specifically within this department, which plays a crucial role in the hospital's operations. ARMC is a state-of-the-art, 456-bed university-affiliated teaching medical center that provides a wide range of services, including a 24-hour Emergency Department, a Level I Trauma Center, and a Regional Burn Center. The facility also offers Behavioral Health Services, Outpatient Specialty Clinics, and four Primary Care Family Health Centers (FHC). These centers provide comprehensive primary care medical services to individuals and families of all ages, staffed by experienced attending and resident physicians. The hospital is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center and has received a Baby Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA, with over 2800 births annually. Additionally, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 30-bed facility certified by Community California Children's Services. The Healthcare Program Administrator will be responsible for ensuring that healthcare programs are compliant with regulations and effectively meet the needs of the community. This includes conducting quality management and performance improvement activities, as well as collaborating with various departments to enhance patient services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to improving healthcare delivery within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, coordinate, and maintain the operation of complex healthcare programs and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Supervise a small support staff as needed.
  • Conduct quality management and performance improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with various departments to enhance patient services.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience conducting quality management, performance improvement, or related activities within the last five (5) years.
  • A minimum of six (6) months of experience in a hospital setting.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration, Nursing, or a closely related field.
