Responsibilities
- Perform functions prior to, during, and following electrophysiology procedures.
- Facilitate all aspects of setup and development of electrophysiology lab equipment.
- Troubleshoot technical problems with electrophysiology equipment.
- Assist physician in instrumentation, pacing, and recording activities during EP procedures.
- Facilitate proper recording and storage of data during procedures.
- Act as a resource and mentor to new staff members.
- Ensure compliance with current regulatory requirements.
- Rotate through all defined roles during the shift.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain required clinical knowledge and skills.
- Follow safe guidelines for receiving, transporting, and stocking intravenous (IV) fluids.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology or Cardiac Electrophysiology program required.
