About the position

East Coast Fireplace & Sweeps is looking for an experienced fireplace salesperson to join their team. The role involves selling various types of fireplaces, including wood-burning, gas, and electric models, while providing exceptional customer service and education about the products. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background and a passion for the fireplace industry, with opportunities for higher pay and advancement for those with the NFI Hearth Design Specialist certification.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining relationships with customers
• Educating customers on the benefits and features of different fireplaces
• Providing excellent customer service throughout the sales process
• Meeting and exceeding sales goals

Requirements

• Previous sales experience, preferably in the fireplace industry
• Knowledge of different types of fireplaces and their installation process
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• NFI Hearth Design Specialist certification is a plus

Nice-to-haves

• Active National Fireplace Institute (NFI) Hearth Design Specialist certification or willingness to obtain it within the first 6 months
