About the position

The Heat Treat Oven Technician at Janicki Industries is responsible for operating and monitoring ovens used in aerospace manufacturing. This role requires adherence to detailed work orders and safety protocols, as well as the ability to troubleshoot equipment. The technician will be trained in various safety and operational procedures and must be able to work flexible shifts to meet production needs.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials in the ovens.
• Operate and monitor ovens throughout the facility.
• Follow detailed work orders and cure schedules.
• Perform critical debris checks of the oven before and after use.
• Complete documentation of product and processes, including checklists and data logs.
• Set up and use electronic monitoring equipment.
• Understand and respond to nitrogen and fire hazards.
• Use forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks to move large parts.
• Train in AS9100, Nadcap Standards, and JI Safety rules.
• Assist in other work areas as needed.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident due to ITAR and EAR regulations.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
• Training in First Aid, CPR, Blood-borne Pathogen, and other safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and instructions.
• Experience with electronic monitoring equipment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in aerospace manufacturing or similar industries.
• Familiarity with QMS documents and procedures.
• Knowledge of safety practices related to hazardous materials.
