This position plays a critical role in the successful and timely delivery of complex heavy civil, highway, and bridge projects from the pre-construction stage through project execution and completion. The Project Engineer will actively participate in overall day-to-day operational leadership and decision-making as a subject matter expert for project civil management functions. This includes participating in scheduling, reporting, quantity tracking, and managing daily operations for the execution of the project work scope. The role also involves taking part in project team input for project safety, construction planning, interpretation of design, development of efficient construction methods, and quality control processes for the execution of work. Additionally, the Project Engineer will monitor and oversee subcontractor scope work, ensuring adherence to schedule, quality testing, inspection, production, and contract plans and specifications. Overall leadership is essential to ensure that work is constructed in compliance and that work quality is accurately documented.
