About the position

The Heavy Duty Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas of FireKeepers Casino Hotel while providing excellent guest service. This role involves performing various janitorial duties in compliance with applicable laws and company policies, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Receive dirty dinnerware, flatware, and glassware and place them onto the automatic dishwasher conveyor belt.
• Remove washed dinnerware, flatware, and glassware from the dishwasher and stack them for future use.
• Wash floor mats and clean floors in all kitchen areas by sweeping and mopping.
• Scrub walls, floor drains, and stainless steel tables and sinks.
• Pick up trash and wash trash cans when emptied.
• Clean all ventilator hoods in kitchens.
• Sweep, mop, and clean all walk-in refrigerators and freezers.
• Operate various stewarding equipment such as shop vacs, steamers, and floor scrubbers.
• Maintain a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention.
• Promote and maintain the highest level of guest service.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice-to-haves

• One year stewarding experience in a full service restaurant establishment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
