About the position

The Heavy Equipment Area Sales Manager at National Equipment Dealers, LLC is responsible for the sales and rental of new and used construction equipment within a specified territory. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a strong background in heavy equipment and sales, who can effectively manage customer relationships and drive business growth. The position is hybrid, involving both remote and in-office work, and offers a competitive salary based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • The sales and rental of company owned equipment
  • Increase the footprint of NED within the specified territory
  • Attract and maintain new customers
  • Manage day to day sales calls and customer visits
  • Advise management on day to day activities and follow-up needed
  • Prepare and present product information to new customers
  • Maintain and grow existing relationships
  • Assist with customer and operator training as required
  • Account Management, including past due collections, and obtaining rental documentation
  • Work with existing sales and rental representatives to grow existing market share
  • Work with VP of Sales on adding additional representation to existing markets.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of equipment sales experience
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment and sales
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft systems (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Nice-to-haves
