About the position

The Heavy Equipment Diesel Technician at Sonsray Machinery is responsible for performing service maintenance and repairs on CASE agriculture machinery and related equipment. This role involves working both in the shop and in the field, ensuring quality repairs and maintenance on various systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, and hydraulics. The technician will work independently, following established guidelines and demonstrating safe practices while utilizing various tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform service maintenance for CASE agriculture machinery and related equipment.
• Provide quality repairs on equipment in both shop and field environments.
• Conduct maintenance on engines, transmissions, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform structural repairs including welding.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Follow established Original Equipment Manufacturing guidelines.
• Demonstrate safe and proper application of hand, pneumatic, and electric tools.
• Maintain proper documentation of each job performed using basic computer skills.
• Perform other functions or duties as directed by management.

Requirements

• 5+ years' mechanical experience in construction equipment is highly preferred.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment is required.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
• Physical ability to walk, use hands, fingers, bend, carry, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
