Heavy Equipment Manager

About the position

The Heavy Equipment Manager at Investerra Industries is responsible for overseeing the operations of a heavy equipment rental company. This role requires a strong background in crane and heavy equipment management, job planning, and scheduling. The manager will ensure effective communication with clients and management while maintaining safety and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Respond to phone calls/inquiry emails in a timely manner with excellent customer service.
• Evaluate jobs and loads for the proper number of operators/rigging/crane type.
• Schedule jobs appropriately keeping the crane type, weather, and manpower involved in mind.
• Communicate with management about manpower, budget, repair needs for the fleet, and staffing needs.
• Manage maintenance and Repair Schedule for the fleet.
• Maintain accurate records of jobs, customers, and repairs.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs and job progress.
• Maintain safe and effective best practices for all operators and jobs.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and experience in heavy equipment, particularly cranes.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Great organizational skills.
• Familiarity with computers and digital job tracking programs.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds) as part of the job responsibilities.
• Knowledge of construction industry is a plus, not required.
• CDL and or NCCCO are a huge plus!
