About the position

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Keen Transport, a Wallenius Wilhelmsen company, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities

• Work on heavy equipment requiring high skill levels in hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
• Perform all maintenance and repair activities on High and Heavy Equipment.
• Design and fabricate engines according to customer specifications.
• Exercise equipment and perform diagnostics, repair, disassemble, and reassemble systems.
• Install attachments as required by customers.
• Drive wheeled machines from discharge or parking locations to work areas.
• Complete required paperwork/programs for repair or parts installation on all types of equipment and machinery.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of various mechanical and technical systems.
• Physical ability to apply mechanical knowledge in a hands-on manner.
• Practical knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines and associated systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on various systems for disassembly, repair, and reassembly.
• Proficiency in using various test equipment, hand tools, and measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and prints.
• Ability to conduct work responsibilities while exposed to dirt, dust, and fumes from construction equipment operations.
• Current valid driver's license.
