About the position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient and safe operation of equipment, contributing to the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes in a safe and efficient manner to demolish commercial and residential structures.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and project timelines.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times to maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain daily progress records and coordinate trucking schedule.
• Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly in construction settings.
• Proficiency in operating excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with machinery.
• Valid commercial driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with crew members and supervisors.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.

• Valid commercial driving license (CDL A) is preferred.
• Willingness to travel 25%.
