About the position
Phoenix Global is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Marion, OH. As a premier mill services provider, we specialize in slag processing, scrap yards, transportation logistics, and packaging services. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating various heavy mobile equipment while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and policies. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our operations, as the operator will load and off-load materials in designated areas, conduct pre-operation and post-operation inspections, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. The operator will monitor any changes in machine performance to identify potential malfunctions and report these to the maintenance department promptly. Daily responsibilities include performing routine greasing, oiling, and fueling of the equipment, as well as ensuring that the work area allows for safe movement and access. The ideal candidate will possess experience operating heavy machinery such as end loaders, excavators, and dozers, and will have a strong team and safety-oriented mentality. This position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs. Responsibilities

Requirements
- Experience operating end loader, excavator, dozer, and other specialized mobile equipment.

- Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Knowledge of bulk materials.
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
