The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery, including excavators, dozers, backhoes, and bobcats, while ensuring safety and efficiency on job sites. This role involves performing equipment maintenance, directing a small work crew, and maintaining communication with supervisors. The position requires a willingness to travel and may involve labor duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operates Heavy Equipment (Excavator, Dozer, Backhoe, and Bobcat)
• Demonstrates experienced operation and equipment knowledge
• Performs equipment maintenance as necessary
• Responsible for directing small work crew
• May perform labor duties as needed
• Maintains equipment cleanliness
• Communicates regularly with supervisor on all jobs
• Ensures the safety of job site working conditions

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Experience in heavy equipment operation
• Ability to work Saturdays as needed
• Must be willing to travel

Nice-to-haves

• Able to follow and communicate written and oral instruction
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Current CDL
