About the position

The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for safely operating various industrial equipment to switch railcars and transfer materials among trucks, containers, and railcars. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of materials and ensuring the safe operation of equipment in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate industrial trucks, skid steer, and crane.
• Load and unload material among trucks, containers, and railcars.
• Switch railcars as needed.
• Inspect empty railcars before sending them out.
• Inspect railroads before and after use.
• Communicate the need for maintenance or repair.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Eager to help with other projects as needed.
